Hermitage football's young core one year older

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Hermitage football was 9-3 last season despite fielding a roster with 11 sophomores who earned considerable playing time.

Those players are a year older and head coach Patrick Kane, heading into his 14th season with the program, hopes the experience gained will help the team this year.

Central to the Panthers' success this season will be senior quarterback Rashad Robinson.  He's in his second year running Hermitage's read-heavy offense.

The Panthers started last season 1-2, then won eight straight games before bowing out to eventual state champion L.C. Bird in the playoffs.

Hermitage opens the season August 29th at home against Meadowbrook.
