29 year old man killed in Hopewell shooting

HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) - Hopewell Police are searching for the suspect responsible for a Saturday night homicide.

Police tell us around 9:53 p.m. officers responded to the 500 Block of Nottingham Court for a report of shots being fired. When they arrived, they found 29 year old Calving Brothers suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Brothers was taken to John Randolph Medical Center and later died from his injuries.

Detectives say based on the investigation, it does not appear to be a random act. The Hopewell Police Department is asking any person who may have been traveling in and around the area of this incident and observed any suspicious person or vehicle, to contact Detective Mike Parsio of the Hopewell Police Department at (804) 541-2284.
