Students involved in Varina vandalism ordered 100 hours community service

Several students charged after pulling a senior prank on the Varina High School campus will have to perform 100 hours of community service.

The students faced felony property damage charges after vandalizing the school.

The trespass charge was nolle prossed. The felony property damage was reduced to misdemeanor property damage and taken under advisement for 6 months.

Each defendant must perform 100 hours of community service at a non-profit and make restitution jointly of $4103. 

The return date is 1/9/2015. If all conditions are satisfied, the property damage charge would be dismissed.
