Developing: Fruit recall due to fear of listeria

Breaking News in Chesterfield--More than one hundred people are still without power after a car crashes into a utility pole. It happened around 11:00 last night on Salem Church Road. Part of the road is still shutdown.

New this morning-Important information for Trader Joe's, Costco, and Sam's Club customers. There's been a recall on various fruits that could be in your home right now. Peaches, nectarines, plums, and a plum-apricot hybrid known as plumcots. The fruits affected were packaged by the California company - Wawona Packing Company of Cutler. Trader Joe's, Costco, Sam's Club,and other grocers are recalling the produce due to possible listeria contamination.

A new ordinance expected to be introduced in Henrico could impact dog owners across the county.  The Board of Supervisors is expected to hear about legislation that would allow animal control officers to seize dogs if they kill poultry or other livestock. Prior to July first, officers were legally required to kill dogs proved to be guilty of such an act.
