Police presence increased at Fredericksburg quarry where teen drowned

You can count on seeing a big police presence around a Fredericksburg quarry where a teen drowned last weekend.
Police say 18-year-old Anthony Johnson was swimming with friends at a quarry near the Rappahannock River when he began to struggle. Dive teams found the Virginia teen and rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The quarry is private property and there are "no trespassing" signs posted, but the site is known to be popular for swimming. Police are increasing patrols in the area for the rest of the summer.

Johnson's mother says her son was an excellent swimmer.
