RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Prosecutors say the shooter, who killed a South Richmond man, was acting in self-defense and will not face charges in the death.

Dominque S. Mangram and two others were fighting outside the Steve's Food Mart on Hull Street Road on June 23, when shots rang out. Mangram was shot and killed. A 21-year-old was also shot, but survived.

The Commonwealth's Attorney's Office  tells us the investigation concluded Wednesday, ruling the death a justifiable homicide. Prosecutors say Mangram shot and wounded the man who ended up killing him.
