Henrico police arrest armed robbery suspect after 2 day search

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico police arrested a 19-year-old Wednesday morning in connection with a robbery at a Broad Street gas station after a two-day search.

Shawn Thibou was the fourth suspect arrested in the robbery at the Shell Gas Station at the corner of West End Drive and West Broad Street on Monday.

There were no reports of injuries. Officers spotted the vehicle as it drove onto West End Drive and stopped.  Two suspects exited the vehicle and ran.  Officers apprehended a male suspect that remained in the vehicle and another suspect was apprehended after a search of the area. A female suspect was apprehended at the Shell Station. Thibou managed to run away.

Henrico police brought in a police plane and searched the neighborhood, but were unable to find Thibou. Help from the community finally led them to the suspect Wednesday morning.

James Nolan, Charles Nolan, and Ariel Green have been captured and charged with robbery, use of a firearm, and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Thibou was wanted on four outstanding warrants; Robbery, Use of a Firearm, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and Wearing a Mask in Public. Police were concerned for residents' safety because they believed Thibou was armed.
