Police: Henrico teen's disappearance 'suspicious'

No one has heard from a missing 19-year-old Henrico woman for almost 24 hours, and now the disappearance is being called suspicious. Police say Fatoumata Coulibaly's town home was not secure. It could mean a door or window was left open.

Investigators and the family hope someone has heard from her.

Coulibaly and her family only live a couple of blocks from the police department, at the London Town Apartments. Coulibaly's father didn't want to talk about his daughter's disappearance, but said the family is waiting to hear of new developments from police.

The call Monday night call to police came in as a welfare check. For some reason, Coulibaly's family was worried and wanted officers to check on her at their home on Loveridge Court.
Officers say when they arrived, she was nowhere to be found. The last time her family heard from her was 7:15 p.m.

"We do believe her disappearance is suspicious in nature," Lt. Linda Toney said

"We'd seen about 20 cops," neighbor Brandy Holderman said. Holderman lives in a town home on the same street with her two daughters. "They had it all taped up. They took a statement from all of us. Now I'm actually wary of sending them out alone, so now I'll go with."

Coulibaly also went by the name "Diamond." According to her Facebook page, she worked as a DJ for a radio blog and went by the name "Diamond Radio Diva." Her last post was July 1.

"We are asking anybody who knows her whereabouts, who might even have a small piece of the puzzle, maybe they talked to via social media or in the past couple of days to please give us a call," Lt. Toney said.

Coulibaly is 5 feet 2 inches tall and 152 pounds. She was last seen wearing a brown shirt and skirt. If you know anything about her disappearance, call Henrico Police at 804-501-5000.
