CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

LJ Muchenje bought a home on Regal Grove Lane in Chesterfield less than a month ago. He his family were renovating the house before moving in.

"Just breaking into people's houses and doing whatever you want to do is not right," LJ Muchenje said.

Police say the teens kicked in the front door. Muchenje says his dream home is trashed. He now has to shell out more money to fix damages. He says he now has to push back his move-in date to clean up the mess.

"Everything was just displaced. You have stuff in the closet. You got beer cans everywhere, you know, so I don't have the words to describe how I feel," LJ Muchenje said.

Police say when they arrived a large crowd of people was in the street after word of the party spread on social media. Five teen are now charged with trespassing."

"I'm totally shocked because this is a really nice quiet area," Muchenje said.

Renee Rex has lived in this Chesterfield neighborhood for about a month.

She says after a wild house party across the street from her home on Thursday she's having second thoughts about the move.

"I would have definitely changed my mind," Rex said.

We were told by Chesterfield police that the teens were not arrested but issued a summons. They are expected to appear in court on trespassing charges.

The investigation into the incident continues. Anyone with information should contact police or Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660
