Driver bails out of truck, captured after police chase in Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A woman faces several charges after leading police on a chase in Midlothian.

Around 11 p.m. Wednesday, officers tried to pull the woman over in the 2000 block of Bartee Road. Her car had a broken tail light.

However, instead of stopping, the woman got out of the truck and took off running - with the truck still in drive. The truck crashed into another vehicle.

Police in a K-9 unit to find her. 30 minutes later, the dogs found her hiding behind a nearby home.

Nicole M. Samuels, 27, was charged with felony eluding police, driving on a suspended driver's license and for an outstanding probation violation.
