Officials investigating a house fire in Henrico

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

Two people were taken to the hospital after a house fire in Henrico Saturday.

Henrico firefighter were called to the 1600 block of Mara Drive after 6:30 p.m. Once arrived they reported seeing fire coming from the crawl space of the home.

The two residents were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but are expected to be ok.

It took about 20 minutes for firefighters to get the fire under control. Investigators believe the cause may have been a shorted electrical line under the house, but the exact cause is still under investigation.
