NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police say the woman suspected of trying to rob a Home Depot garden center last month on Gallatin Pike has been arrested.

Jamie Marie Wakefield-Osman, 36, of Goodlettsville, is charged with attempted aggravated robbery.

Investigators say Wakefield-Osman went to the store in the 700 block of North Gallatin Pike on May 29 and asked a clerk to make change for a $100 bill. She then allegedly told the clerk to give her all the $20 and $100 bills in the drawer while showing a knife.

When the clerk said no, Wakefield-Osman fled in a silver Kia Optima, police said.

She was arrested thanks to help from tips from people who saw her image on news broadcasts, police said.

Wakefield-Osman remains jailed on a $15,000 bond.
