All lanes back open on I-95, driver charged in crash

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A crash closed lanes on Interstate 95 south at Chippenham Parkway fore more than four hours Friday.

All lanes reopened at mile marker 67 in Chesterfield around 2 p.m., according to VDOT.

Two vehicles collided at 9:31 a.m. when Soc Thi Diep changed lanes and hit a tractor-trailer, according to State Police. The vehicles then struck the left Jersey wall, causing the truck to cross back over lanes crash through the guardrail and roll down a 30-foot embankment. Both drivers were transported to Chippenham Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Diep was charged with making an unsafe lane change.
