Now, the local community is coming together to help surviving family members.
The newly minted GOP congressional nominee -- Dave Brat will make one of his first public appearances since winning. Brat is expected to speak at the Midlothian Rotary Club Breakfast at 7 this morning. This comes after he ousted House Majority Leader Eric Cantor last week. He faces Democrat Jack Trammell and Libertarian James Carr in the November election.
The search continues for a missing Prince George County man. 70-year-old Harry Lee Womack was last seen on June 10th -- at his home in Red Hill Trailer Park. He has been known to frequent the Petersburg area. If you have seen Harry Lee Womack please contact Prince George Police.
New this morning, President Obama has announced that 275 military troops could be deployed to Iraq. This comes amid a weekend of violence in the country. The White House says Congress was notified of the President's plan -- saying the forces would be there to support U-S personnel in Baghdad. The White House also says they have permission from Iraqi officials to enter the country.
