We are tracking Breaking News: Two officers were rushed to the hospital this morning after they were hit by a car. It happened in the 16-Hundred Block of Lamb Avenue near Gilpin Court. The officers were hit when they got out of their patrol car to approach a suspect's car that they were pursuing. We are working to bring you more information.
Happening today--Virginian's will be heading to the polls to vote in the primaries. Many eyes are on one race in particular, The 7th Congressional District, where voters will pick the Republican nominee for Congress. It's a battle between House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and college professor, David Bratt.
Voters in the 1st congressional District will also head to the polls today. Three people are also vying to be the next clerk of Richmond's circuit court. We'll have complete coverage both on-air, and online.
A Richmond journalism icon will be laid to rest, this afternoon. Ray Boone, the editor and founder of the Richmond Free Press died last week from pancreatic cancer. He was 76-years-old. Boone's funeral, will be held at 12:30 this afternoon at the New Deliverance Evangelistic Church on Turner Road.
More controversy for The Department of Veterans Affairs. This morning, more hospitals are under investigation--including one here in central Virginia. A new report lists Richmond's McGuire Veteran's Hospital as one that has been flagged in the growing V-A scandal.
