$1,000 reward offered for cats stolen from Richmond-area shelters

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - The Richmond SPCA and Richmond Animal League are offering a $1,000 reward after six cats were stolen in recent days.

Thieves broke into the two no-kill animal welfare organizations three times and five of the stolen animals remain missing.

Thieves broke into the Richmond SPCA on Friday stealing three kittens, then struck the Richmond Animal League on Tuesday and Wednesday evening stealing three more cats. One of the RAL cats has since been located.

Police ask citizens to call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000 with any information that could help detectives on the case.
