RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

The Richmond SPCA says it is stepping up security after three kittens were stolen over the weekend.

According to a Richmond police report, someone broke into the building and swiped the felines sometime Friday night.

We reached out to an SPCA spokesperson spokesperson and she told NBC12, the organization is increasing security throughout the facility to prevent this from happening again.

If you were in the area and saw anything suspicious, police want to hear from you. Call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 804-780-1000.
