RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - In tonight's Restaurant Report, violations range from food on the floor to dishes not being washed properly. Here's a look at what went wrong and what the restaurants did about it.
We begin in Chesterfield at Peking Restaurant at 13132 Midlothian Turnpike. It had six critical violations on its last health inspection. The report says some food was stored on the floor of the walk-in refrigerator. The food was picked up, and Peking earned a perfect score with no violations on its follow-up inspection two weeks later.
In Hanover, Country Inn and Suites at 16250 International Street had four critical violations, including that dishes and utensils were not being properly cleaned and sanitized because the dish machine wasn't working properly. The inspector wrote that the dishes were immediately hand washed. On the re-inspection, the dish machine had been repaired and violations were corrected.
No such problems at KFC/Long John Silver's at 806 England Street in Ashland. The restaurant has aced five health inspections and wins the NBC12 Hall of Fame Award.
