Some viewers will briefly lose NBC12 briefly Saturday morning

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

NBC12 viewers who use an over the air antenna or a satellite signal to watch TV will not be able to see the channel for a few hours on Saturday morning.

The NBC12 transmitter will go off-air beginning at 12:37 a.m. Saturday for about four to five hours. Crews will be working to change the beacon light at the top of the transmission tower. As soon as their work is complete, we will return to the air.

This outage only affects over the air and satellite customers. Comcast and Verizon FiOS customers will be unaffected.

The work was previously scheduled for Thursday morning, but was delayed due to possible weather issues.
