Power restored for thousands of West End Dominion customers

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

The lights are back on for thousands of people living in Henrico.

At one point early Monday morning, more than 3,700 Dominion Virginia customers were without power.

Dominion says an equipment failure sparked the outages at the intersection of Quioccasin and Starling Drive in the West End.

Emergency crews had to respond to several schools, including Freeman High School and Three Chopt Elementary after their fire alarms went off, due to lack of electricity.

Power was restored by four a.m.
