RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Sharon Judkins, previously the City of Richmond's embattled Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Finance and Administration, has left her position, ending confusion over the status of her job with the City.
Sunday, NBC12 found a job advertisement on the City of Richmond web site for the DCAO position. Sources had previously told NBC12 that Judkins was no longer working for the City, but as recently as last week, the mayor's press secretary said Judkins was still on the job and out on leave. Now Press Secretary Tammy Hawley has confirmed that Friday, May 16, was Judkins' last day with the City.
Judkins had come under fire during her employment with the City for issues implementing crucial financial city software. Her salary was more than $166,000 per year.
