Shooting victim rushed to the hospital in Richmond's East End

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Richmond Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital in the East End.

Police tell us the shooting happened in broad daylight, just after 10 a.m. Sunday, in the 1400 block of Coalter Street. When officers arrived they found the victim, a male in his 20s, on the sidewalk.

He was taken to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Right now, we do not know a motive in this case. If you know anything that can help police call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
