Breaking overnight: Richmond police are looking for the person who they say slashed a man in the face. This happened around 1 this morning at the Midlothian Inn. That's on Midlothian Turnpike near Carnation Street in South Richmond.
In just a few hours, supporters and opponents of same-sex marriage will set their eyes on a Federal Appeals Court in Richmond. A three-judge panel of the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear arguments today on a lower court's ruling striking down Virginia's ban on gay marriage. Leaders of gay-rights organizations in North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia say a ruling upholding the Virginia decision could affect their states.
