Victim identified in fatal Jeff Davis Hwy accident

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

One person is dead after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Jeff Davis Highway and Summer Hill Ave.

Police received the initial accident report around 4 p.m. Monday, which authorities said involved a tow truck and a Ford F150 pickup. Police said the driver of the pickup truck, Arthur Stephen Finney, 65, was pronounced dead after being transported to MCV Hospital.

Police say no charges will be filed.

    The American Automobile Association says they expect nearly 1.2 million Virginians to travel this Memorial Day weekend, which is up 5 percent from last year. Not even gas prices that are 50 cents higher than last year are stopping the wave of travelers.
