The University of Richmond announced Monday evening that a "Time of Remembrance" will be held Wednesday in honor of Ginny Doyle and Natalie Lewis.
The informal memorial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Cannon Memorial Chapel on the university's Richmond campus. The service will honor Doyle, UR's associate head women's basketball coach, and Lewis, the university's director of basketball operations, who were among three killed last Friday when a hot air balloon caught on fire after hitting power lines in Caroline County.
University Chaplain Craig Kocher and Director of Catholic Life and Campus Minister Tom Mullen will preside over the service.
The university community, public and media are invited to attend. No digital or video cameras are permitted in the chapel.
Parking is available in the Chapel parking lot, W41. Visitors to campus should be aware the River Road entrance to the university is closed at this time. Click here for campus parking map.
Flags on campus have been lowered to half-staff today through Wednesday. The university said a formal memorial service is planned for the fall.
