Two shootings overnight, one man dead, one in surgery

Good Thursday morning, it's Heather.

Police are investigating two shootings overnight. They say a man in his 20's was found dead outside a home on Greenmoss Drive in south Richmond. And a man in Chesterfield is clinging to life after being shot on Tinnsberry Road and later turning up at a Food Lion, looking for help.

The trial for Randy Allen Taylor starts today. He's accused in the murder and abduction of 17-year-old Alexis Murphy, who's body has never been found.

Richmond, Henrico, and Chesterfield are taking precautions to make sure drinking water is safe after oil leaked into the James River from a fiery train derailment in Lynchburg.

Andrew says a little more rain is expected today as the James River is at flood levels. Join us on the air for the details.
