Family & friends remember Petersburg family found in house fire

Fighting back tears family members of Pauline Wilkins, Vicki Ansar, Tanique Chavis, and two year old Delvari Chavis celebrated the lives of their loved ones through poetry and song.

"It hurts so deep, oh how my heart aches, I know deep down with in, God doesn't make no mistakes."

Hundreds poured into Mount Olivet Baptist Church on Saturday to pay their last respects to four people whose lives ended abruptly one week ago today.

"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. God with me my rod and my staff they comfort me."

While words of comfort were offered by fellow family and church members. It did not stop the flow of tears and expression of grief from the hundreds attending today's funeral services.

"This is about the glory of God, being reveled in this house to a hurting family that has lost four generation but God is able, God is able," Bishop Vincent Harris said.

At times the mood was sad but the overall tone was not somber but joyous; reflecting on four bright lives that shined and touched so many people in their community.

Family members say that today is not goodbye but simply see you later for now.

"Sister when my days are done and all my work is through I will be in heaven right beside you"
