One person injured after shooting at Hopewell gas station

HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) - One person is injured and the suspect is on the loose after a shooting at a gas station in Hopewell.

It happened around 4:35 p.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of Oaklawn Boulevard. Police say a fight broke out at the corner near a Walgreen's. An 18-year-old victim was grazed in the arm. He was transported to John Randolph Medical Center.

A Walgreen's window was damaged during the shooting. No one else was hurt.

Police say the victim and the suspect know each other, but the victim is not cooperating.

Police say the suspect is a younger, light skinned black male with an afro-style haircut pulled back, wearing a black hat and a black hoodie.
