GOOCHLAND, VA (WWBT) -

A new person has been charged in the Kevin Quick death investigation.

The Goochland Commonwealth Attorney's Office said Kweli Uhuru has been charged with gang participation in connection with Quick's death.

Goochland deputy commonwealth attorney Mike Caudill told us on Monday afternoon they are one step closer to putting an end to what many would call a nightmare.

23 year-old Wweli Uhuru also known as Travis Bell now joins Halisi Uhuru, Leslie Casterlow, Anthony stokes, and Anthony white as suspects facing gang charges in connection with Captain Kevin Quick's death.

Uhuru made his first appearance in Goochland General District Court on Monday by way of tele-conference.

Court Documents tell us a warrant for Uhuru's arrest was served Thursday evening..

He was then taken to Northwestern Regional Detention Center in Winchester for a Circuit Court probation hold.

It is still not known his direct involvement in Quick's death but authorities say they are working diligently to find out how the beloved Captain's life was taken too soon.

"Everyone is working night and day feverishly night and day to bring this to a conclusion it's an important case and everyone is treating it as such and that is why they are working hard to get to where it needs to be," Deputy Commonwealth Attorney Mike Caudill said.
