Virginia State hoping for fresh start at spring game

ETTRICK, VA (WWBT) - The Virginia State football team held the 'Trojan Blue and White' game Saturday at Rogers Stadium.

The Trojans are coming off a 9-1 season in which they won the north division in the CIAA but did not compete in the league's title game.

Latrell Scott begins his second season as head coach searching for a new quarterback.  Justin Thorpe graduated and the battle for the starting job is down to sophomore Eric Washington and freshman Tarian Ayres.
