Teen charged with attempted homicide in school stabbing spree

MURRYSVILLE, PA (RNN) - An attacker with two knives caused injuries to 24 people at Franklin Regional High School.

Authorities said a 16-year-old male student, identified as Alex Hribal, has been arrested in relation to the crime.

Police Chief Thomas Seefeld said the student was a sophomore. He was charged with four counts of attempted homicide and 21 counts of aggravated assault, according to the Associated Press.

He will be prosecuted as an adult, the report said.
