Public meeting discusses Carytown parking permits

Posted: Updated:
RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Carytown residents and business owners are invited to attend a meeting running Thursday evening until 8:00 p.m. at Ellwood Thompson's Community Room. The topic – whether permit parking should be brought to Carytown.

The meeting will be held at 4 N. Thompson St., close to Cary Street and I-195. Richmond Councilmember Parker C. Agelasto will host the gathering, and discuss whether to create a special parking district between Cary Street and the Downtown Expressway.

If residents agree to pursue the parking zone, petitions would have to circulate, and City Hall could approve new regulations within a month.
