FORT HOOD, TX (WWBT) -

Officials at a Texas hospital say three of their patients remain in critical condition after a shooting at Fort Hood Wednesday night.

The doctors at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Killeen, TX say they don't expect any more fatalities at this point.

A gunman killed three people and injured 16 before killing himself at Fort Hood in central Texas Wednesday. The gunman has been identified by the Associated Press as Specialist Ivan Lopez.

The motive has not yet been determined. The Army says the shooter fired shots in two different buildings using a Smith and Wesson .45 semi-automatic pistol recently purchased in the area, but not registered on post.
