A water main break on Hospital Street between 7th Street and Valley Road in Richmond, not far from the Richmond City Jail, caused a messy morning commute.
The water main break flooded a parking lot, causing the asphalt to buckle, and making the roads nearby dangerous to drive on.
A Richmond Public Utilities worker says the area could be closed most of the morning, and the water has been shut off in the area.
No word yet on what caused the water main break.
