Richmond Police search for suspects in separate robberies

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Several suspects are being sought in connection with two robberies in the City of Richmond.

The first robbery happened around 1 p.m. Sunday in the 1400 block of Georgia Avenue. A female passenger was riding in the back seat of a taxi cab, choked the driver, and demanded money, according to Richmond Police. The woman made off with an undisclosed amount of money. The driver was not hurt.

The second robbery happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of East Broad Street, near the Jackson Ward neighborhood. Four men jumped a male victim, and stole his headphones, before they took off. The suspects were last seen heading toward Jackson Ward, according to Richmond Police. The victim received minor injuries.

Neither of the robberies involved any weapons.
