New photos, $10,000 reward in Spotsylvania store clerk shooting

SPOTSYLVANIA, VA (WWBT) - The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office has released new photos of the suspect that shot a Fas Mart store clerk in the head. The sheriff also announced that the reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect has grown to $10,000.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5'6" to 5'10" tall, with a reddish-brown, 2-inch beard or goatee with white or gray highlights.

The victim, Kelly Wood, 32, says the suspect entered the store on March 8 and approached the counter. He asked for a tin of a smokeless tobacco, brand named Grizzly. As Wood turned her back, the suspect shot her.

Wood survived the point-blank range shooting. She is recovering at VCU Medical Center.
