RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A Richmond woman asks a judge to throw out her 14-year sentence For helping illegal aliens obtain driver's licenses.

Cynthia Salamanca claims her sentence is unconstitutional under a 2013 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that any fact that increases a mandatory minimum sentence must be considered by a jury.

Salamanca pleaded guilty to obtaining Social Security cards and birth certificates from U.S. citizens and selling the documents to illegal aliens. She bribed a DMV employee to assist in the scam.
