Police searching for 2 men after fatal shooting in Antioch

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The search is on for two men in connection to an attempted robbery turned fatal shooting in Antioch.

Police say two masked gunmen approached 37-year-old Moises Zarate and his cousin as they were unloading items from their car around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 5000 block of Oakwood Forest Drive.

One of the men is said to have grabbed Zarate from behind while the second man threatened to shoot his cousin.

The cousin ran for help, which is when he said he heard a gunshot and saw the men run away.

Zarate died at the scene of the shooting, which was right outside of his home.

The suspects are said to both be thin and 5'11" tall and may have left in a small silver car.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
