SOCHI, RUSSIA (WWBT) - The US took on Canada in the Olympic gold medal match Thursday.
Canada won 3-2 in overtime in a match full of suspense. Marie-Philip Poulin scored a power play goal eight minutes into the overtime period to give Canada gold. The US women won silver.

The US team was up 2-0 in the third period, but wasn't able to put the game away. Canada scored twice, including a goal by Poulin with less than a minute to play, to take the game to overtime.
