STAFFORD, VA (WWBT) - All lanes are back open after a crash involving multiple vehicles closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Stafford Thursday morning.
Police responded to the crash at mile marker 144 around 11 a.m. involving two tractor-trailers and several passenger vehicles. All lanes were back open by 1:44 p.m.
According to police, a tractor-trailer braked and swerved to avoid slow-moving traffic, sideswiping 10 vehicles before coming to a stop. Five people were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, Antolin Francia, 61, was not injured. He is charged with reckless driving.
