CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (WWBT) -

Thousands of friends, family, and members of law enforcement are expected to gather at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville to say goodbye to murdered Waynesboro police Captain Kevin Quick.

Quick's body was found murdered in Goochland County Feb. 6. He had been missing since Jan. 31 when he left to visit a friend's house in Albemarle, but never made it.

So far, six people face charges in connection with Quick's death, but none have been charged as the actual assailant.

Captain Quick's memorial service is expected to start at 10:30 a.m. Quick's family held a private visitation yesterday.
