DALLAS (KTVT/CNN) – Doctors say a 16-year-old girl is making progress after surviving a skydiving accident.
During a press conference at Baylor University Medical Center, where she is making her recovery, Mackenzie Wethington spoke of her recovery. She was asked how strong she was after her Oklahoma skydive.
"I'm strong enough to fall 3,500 feet and live," said Mackenzie Wethington.
Her parachute didn't fully open, and when she fell from about 3,500 feet, she suffered injuries to her brain, spine, liver, pelvis, shoulders, ribs and her teeth.
Even so, the Texas girl wouldn't mind trying – if her parents let her.
