COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

He's here, and weather's coming with him.

The Weather Channel's own Jim Cantore has made the trek to Columbia to broadcast live from the capital city.

Cantore confirmed his South Carolina trip on his twitter account Monday afternoon.

Cantore will be covering what The Weather Channel is calling "Winter Storm Pax."

Pax is expected to bring rain, sleet, freezing rain, and possibly snow to the area over the next several days.

A winter storm warning has also been issued until next Thursday at noon.

Cantore made his mark on Charleston just two weeks ago when he broadcasted live from the College of Charleston during the last winter weather storm.

Of course, there was the moment made in viral history when a student there bumrushed the meteorologist during one of his live shots.

There's no word of Cantore's exact live shot location, but you can bet he's hoping he won't have to deal with any bumrushing University of South Carolina students.
