NELSON, VA (WWBT) - A Nelson County judge ruled against a request by Randy Taylor Friday to have his murder trial moved out of Nelson County in connection with the disappearance of Alexis Murphy.
Taylor's defense team had asked the judge to move the trial so that he could get an impartial jury. However the judge ruled there was no need to move the trail, reports NBC29.com.
Taylor is scheduled to go to trial on May 1. He faces a first-degree murder charge in the disappearance of the Nelson County teen. Murphy disappeared August 3 and has not been found.
