Debate continues on state's gay marriage ban

Good morning from Gray. Here's a look at some of the stories you will want to catch before you leave the house on 12 News Today.

Two people are in critical condition after their car crashes into the Chickahomony River. This all happened just after 10:30 last night in the East End of Henrico County near the intersection of East Williamsburg and White Oak Roads.

Today a federal judge will hear arguments over whether Virginia's ban on gay marriage is constitutional.  Attorney General Mark Herring is joining the case of two Virginia couples, who are suing to overturn the state's ban in federal court. The ban was passed by voters in 2006. Herring says he will not defend the ban. Arguments are set to begin at 10am.

This morning, we are learning new details about a missing  Waynesboro Police Captain. Kevin Quick hasn't been seen since Friday and his friends say this is totally out of character for him.
