(CNN) – While President Barack Obama's approval numbers are on the rise, Americans' faith in his policies is on the decline.

According to a CNN/ORC poll released Monday, the president's approval rating has risen to 45 percent. That's up from a near record-low of 41 percent at the end of 2013.

But despite the up-tick, a majority of Americans now think Obama's policies are likely to fail in coming years. According to the survey, 56 percent of respondents think his policies will fail while 37 percent think they will succeed.

The number of respondents who feel Obama's views are too liberal and just about right tied at 41 percent each.
