Woman killed in Chesterfield weekend house fire identified

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Chesterfield Fire officials have identified a woman killed in a weekend house fire.

Fifty-year-old Monica Marie Heretick was found dead inside a home in the 400 Derbycreek Lane in Chester Saturday morning, according to officials. Fire crews were called to the home at 5:46 a.m. Saturday and found the house engulfed in flames. The fire caused the roof to cave in.

Heretick was found dead on the first floor around 11 a.m.. A cause of death has not yet been named and fire marshals are still working on the cause.

Two others lived at the home, but weren't inside when the fire broke out.
