Trochanteric Bursitis

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Joints are an important part of the body. They are often something you don't notice until it is too late.

We explain in this week's Neighborhood Health Watch.

Dr. Marc Caligtan is on the case of joints and in particular trochanteric bursitis.

It can cause pain and inflammation next to the hip joint.

A bursae is a small fluid filled sac that sits next to the bone. Its function is to protect tissues as they slide over the bone.

You should seek medical attention if pain is changes the way you walk is severe or intolerable.
