Southeast Virginia gets hit with heavy, constant snow

NEW KENT, VA (WWBT) -

The worst part of the storm battered Southeast Virginia, Tuesday night, including new Kent County. New Kent experienced heavy, constant snow, which prompted people to pull out the shovels and plows early Tuesday evening.

Denver Oakley Jr. is helping his father are plow local parking lots. It's a much needed service, especially since New Kent Highway was blanketed.

"Some people shouldn't be driving," said Denver Oakley Sr.

Convenience store employee Ritu Bagga says her ride home will be unnerving.

"It's slippery… uncomfortable," said Bagga.

However, for Denver and his dad, the storm is no biggie. They've plowed through worse. "This is nothing!" smiled Denver, Sr.
