Meg Menzie's public viewing is scheduled to begin at 2 this afternoon at the Nelsen Funeral home along South Washington highway in Ashland. Her funeral is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Mechanicsville.
Also today, the Matoaca woman who pleaded guilty to killing her husband and mentally disabled son is expected to learn her how long she will spend in jail. 71-year-old "Estelle Jones" killed both men in her home in April of 20-12. Police say she admitted to shooting her husband six times, and using a belt to strangle her son.
A new report has been released about the September 11th attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi. It claims the deaths of four Americans could have been prevented. The state department is taking most of the blame. The report finds that hundreds of intelligence reports in prior months, warned that terrorist groups had the capability to strike U.S. facilities in Libya.
